Find a local lodge

Using this Global Mapping API you can locate virtually every Masonic Lodge within the United States and Canada. This Masonic Lodge Directory is a community driven project supported by individual Masonic Lodge participation and currently contains over 24,000 Masonic Lodges within the directory. 68,000 + Masonic Lodge entries are planned by the end of April 2009.

Using the Global Mapping API, this lodge directory system will provide the location, telephone, and GPS coordinates along with specific driving directions. Masonic Matrix hopes that you will find this resource valuable in locating a lodge to visit in and outside your lodge district.

The general public is invited to use this masonic lodge directory for the purpose of locating a masonic lodge to petition for membership. For more specific help and information, we urge you visit the Grand Lodge website within your state or province. There you will find more detailed information to assist your efforts to join the greatest fraternity on earth.

  1. I had been wondering what and how do I become a member. I know I have to get sponsored and know a few Masons but I was wondering how do I get information on the initiation process and other information on what includes being a mason like things that masons do and so forth.

  2. G’Day Stephen,
If you know a Freemason it’s pretty simple, at an opportune moment, when there is time to talk privately, just let him know that you have an interest in Freemasonry and would like to learn more. He will be able to assist you from there.
In terms of publications etc., be aware that not everything you read/hear is accurate, especially comming off the WWW etc. however, which ever lodge your friend is a member of will most likely have a genuine publication that covers the FAQ’s for prospective members and details what is expected of a Freemason.
    Good luck with your venture.
    Regards,
    Ian
