BROTHERS UNITE

BROTHERS UNITE
United we meet,
United we labour,
United our quest
BROTHERS UNITE.

Together we stand,
With outstretched hands,
Unity our call

BROTHERS UNITE.

JACOBS LADDER

I climbed Jacobs Ladder and when I reached the top
The mind blowing tunes of Erpland sounded all around
I had arrived in Waterfall City

Also known as the Great Temple of the Universe
Supported on its crystal columns, reaching high into eternity
Upheld by the togetherness and harmony of all who inhabit it

Alchemy is everyones trade spells and chants keep the law of the land
The Universe is our galaxy we float we glide
We are in harmony, no Us or Them here

I climbed Jacobs Ladder and when I reached the top
I stood before the Inner Chamber brightly lit up
A firm and brotherly hand reached out to me
I hear the warm words, I greet you well my brother

Another link was made in the fraternal chain
Enter sojourner of the Universe, you are amongst equals
Our quest for LIGHT is never ending, Apprentices for life we shall
remain

The Inner Chamber your wages it don’t pay
Here we labour to mend the broken links we encounter from day to day
For wages we don’t need as philosophy and spiritual LIGHT
Is a Universal sojourners right

I THE ASHLAR

I THE ASHLAR, tall I stand,
Clothed for work, white gloves and apron on,
My working tools in my hands.

Though tall I stand,
Perfection seems elusive, in a strange and distant land,
But I trust that the working tools I bear,
Will pave the way for my journey there.

Perfection is the LIGHT I seek,
With the working tools as my feet,
Whilst I THE ASHLAR am the road,
To the perfection that I seek,
This within me dwells.

I labour hard for days on end,
Working upon myself,
Smoothing rough edges and removing the chinks
That I discover within me day after day.

I THE ASHLAR, perfection I seek,
That can only be formed in my innermost self.

THE BRIDGE OF LIGHT

The bridge of light stretches into the mystic yonder,
Illuminating our Masonic path,
Whispering follow me,
So that thou will find thyself.
For I am the bridge to be crossed,
By those who seek the LIGHT,
The true Masonic path,
That stretches from earth throughout the Universe.

All those who choose my path,
Will find and learn
The mysteries of nature and science.

THE FESTIVE BOARD

Our meeting over, the lodge closed tyled the Tyler relaxes.
Our Labour thus done,
At the Festive Board we assemble,
To partake of refreshments, with toasts, laughter and fun.

At the head of the table the Master presides,
While the brother’s grin from ear to ear,
As the time has come for that first cold beer

Quickly our orders are placed,
Because of the need for haste,
For one down the hatch before formalities begin
And the pangs of hunger set in.

The meal arrives and toasts are proposed,
Midst the persistent murmur and metallic clang
Of the working tools at the Festive Board.
Brother Steward moves from table to table,
Serving another beer or another wine, its fellowship time.

When the jokes begin to sound fine
And senior brethren are in the firing line,
Alas, alas our fun has been had,
As disperse we must, then of to bed.

Together we drink the Tyler’s toast,
To our absent brethren wherever they are,
until we meet again at our next Festive Board,
With its toasts, its laughter and jokes.

US AND THEM

Us and Them
After all we are the younger men
Its not what we would choose to do
Meet on the Level part on the Square
Its only on paper the difference is in the regalia we wear

Us and Them
We are but ordinary men
The future my brother are you and me
Masonic Light is our quest
This motto US and Them we should all lay to rest

US and Them
Black and White
Who knows which is which and who is right
Me and You brother we know our quest

US and Them
With without
Is this what the fighting is all about
Make way it’s been a busy day
I’ve got other things on my mind

WELCOME TO THE MACHINE

Welcome brother, welcome to the Machine
Don’t worry we know where you’ve been
Step right up pay in cash sign on the dotted line
We will do the rest you will be fine

Welcome brother, welcome to the Machine
With us your cable tow is a has been
Don’t worry we know what’s good for you
Don’t speak your mind or utter your thoughts
The men in the dark blue aprons and the gold trims will do that for you

Welcome brother, welcome to the machine
Now that you are here we will mould you do not fear

Why

I hear the sound of distant thunder
Echo all around
I see the tragedy of young ones
Lying on the ground..
I see the fathers’ sons and daughters
I hear the mothers crying
Nothing left for me to do
I, whisper a prayer for the dying

The bushes suffocating heat
No mercy from above
Where everything reminds me
I’m a stranger in a strange land
The rhetoric of the politicians
Is nothing more than lies
The guardian angels are not here
And every mother cries

Move out, move out is all I hear
I pray when the bullets fly
Fear is here and all about
And all my dreams take me home again
I, whisper a prayer for the dying

I’m so scared I can’t sleep at night
I try to carry my heavy load
Walking down the Armageddon road
I, whisper a prayer for the dying

I can’t run and I can’t hide
I can’t show what I feel inside
I’m going crazy, I’m going insane
I know I’ll never be the same again
I, whisper a prayer for the dyings
